These woven earrings are a celebration of the humble shape, the triangle.
As I learn more about my Polynesian ancestors through our geometric art and design, I am understanding how interconnected the patterns are to nature.
In the Maori world view the triangle (aronui ) refers to the pursuit of knowledge about the natural world.
So it’s a marriage of this knowledge and the gorgeous dusty pink naturally dyed raffia that has inspired these into creation.
